As Coach Uhlir points out "athletes who never eat breakfast never receive the jolt they need to kick start their metabolism for the day and get them into calorie-burning mode."
So we asked Coach Savannah to takes us through what she considers to be a healthy and sensible breakfast for athletes:
COACH UHLIR POWER BREAKFAST
1. Scrambled Eggs
3 tbs egg whites
1/2 cup onions
1/2 cup spinach
2. 3 slices bacon
3. 1 whole wheat English muffin
4. 2tbs strawberry jelly
5. 1 sliced apple
