The Split Stance 1 Arm Landmine Press is a vertical push variation that requires increased core and lower body stability while challenging a single-arm pressing movement. The landmine is unique because it enables us to train an overhead pressing movement while not pressing directly overhead. The landmine enables us to vertically press when the overhead range of motion is limited. It also promotes upward scapular movement, which is required to efficiently move overhead. Additionally, the split stance is a common position found in sport, and adding the split stance to a vertical push movement increases the functionality of the exercise.
